It has been an extremely busy few weeks with our advocacy actives at an all time high. We are working on a number of key initiatives including:

  • calling for an immediate extension of telehealth
  • attending to a number of consultations and submissions including NDIS, Return to Work and the Victorian Royal Commission into Mental Health
  • advocacy to allow psychologists to provide certificates of capacity
  • improving systems and processes for Victims of Crime in the different states and territories
  • upcoming DVA and Open Arms meetings regarding the recent fee changes to Open Arms outreach services
  • Psychology Board Education and Training Reform advocacy (more on this below)
  • increasing our media presence
  • working on resources and CPD events
  • undertaking a research project into the efficacy and costs associated with mental health 'hub' funding compared with properly funding private practice psychology
  • listening to and supporting members with their professional needs
