SA COVID-19 Update

We have received the following advice regarding COVID-19 Restrictions in South Australia. Please read the information on the mandatory use of face masks in health care settings carefully.

To protect South Australians, from 29 June, additional measures are being temporarily introduced to help reduce the spread of the virus.

  • 1 person per 2 square metres for all defined public activities and gatherings.
  • Private gatherings 150 people maximum.
  • Weddings and funerals at licensed premises can have venue capacity (1 person per 2 square metres).
  • Weddings and funerals at other venues can have maximum capacity of 150 people.
  • Seated consumption of food and beverages at all indoor venues.
  • Seated entertainment like cinemas or live theatre or performance venues can have up 75% capacity if patrons wear masks.
  • Masks are mandatory in health care setting and personal care services.
  • Masks recommended on public transport and taxis or rideshare services.
  • Dancing is not permitted at nightclubs and relevant licensed premises.
  • Singing is not permitted indoors, unless it is a performance, an education establishment or a private lesson. This does not apply to residential premises.
  • Onsite purchase and consumption of shisha is prohibited.

Please note from 29 June 2021, masks are mandatory for all health care setting, including private practice psychology. This applies to any person on site (health professional, admin/support staff and clients. Please read the FAQ document for further information, including information on exemptions.
