Another busy fortnight has flown by. This past two weeks we have:

• Attended allied health meetings regarding disability and aged care ensuring psychology has a strong voice
• Met with the NDIA regarding the future of the NDIS and to be further involved in access and planning projects
• Met with the Psychology Board of Australia regarding Education and Training reforms
• Progressed election campaigning
• Provided further information to the Queensland Mental Health Select Committee
• Participated in the National Infant & Child Disaster Mental Health Advisory Committee
• Contributed to the NSW strategic framework for suicide prevention
• AAPi's Amanda Curran has been nominated to represent all of allied health for the NDIS Mental Health Sector Reference Group
• We wrote 2 submissions (WorkSafe Victoria and the Psychology Board)
• We have been asked to review Government funded scholarships for psychology and allied health
• We are working on further member value and discounts with new and existing partners
• Supported members through notifications, ethical quandaries and workplace issues

Next week we will be attending a briefing on the Budget on Tuesday night. We will send you a summary of what this will mean for you and your clients. We are also expecting the final report from the Senate Inquiry into Administration of Registration and Notifications by Ahpra in which AAPi provided a submission as well as appeared before the Senate to discuss concerns regarding two-tier and the complaints and notification process for psychology.
